The demolishers have been to the site to demolish the shed. It was a lovely surprise as demolition was supposed to occur on Monday.

It coincided with us getting the keys to the rental place next to the construction site and an open home inspection opposite. Hope the looming construction would not drive away potential buyers for our neighbours.

Anthony mentioned that Shirley might sell her place around Feb 2010. Too bad we won't be able to afford it as we would then have a bigger piece of land.

Tom mentioned that John sure loves to work with Asian tradies. But then, John does have a Vietnamnese business partner and quite a number of Asian clients. As long as the quality is monitored, no issues. I do not want to see dodgy work. Who knows, since we're going to be living next to dust and noise for the next 9 months of the construction.

The unexpected hiccup was no one knew there was no sewer connection! Arrghhh!! That means John can't do the plumbing and in turn Wayne can't drill the ground for the geothermal and in turn the slab can't go in before Xmas! I blame John in that he probably shouldn't have assumed the sewer is already connected. Oh well. Let's see what else can happen.

After months of research of online stores and choice website, we paid 30% deposit on a Bosch dishwaser, Chef 60mm oven, 610 litre side by side Westinghouse fridge, Westinghouse dryer and Highland gas+induction cooktop. The prices we got are definitely cheaper than the online stores as E&S Trading is having a new store opening sale across all its branches.

Came back and turned on the tv to Harvey Norman 40% storewide on electrical sale. Sigh, just can't beat them but we did get a good deal from E&S trading. I think we easily got at least 20% discount off the retail prices as the fridge was considered a bargain at $700 off the RRP. Plus I got my combo cooktop available exclusively from E&S Trading. Too bad they don't sell the brand of rangehood I wanted.

At least now we only have to get the rangehood. The E&S Trading salesman has a point as to whether the ducts are included in the price of the rangehood I wanted.

The lease property next to the land is empty. We just got told today we would be the new tenants in 2 weeks' time. Now the headache of finding someone to take over our lease for 6 months. If not, it's $6k down the drain!

After months of to and froing and heartache and frustration, we finally signed on the dotted line. Although have to say I didn't like the builder signing on the contract and forcing us to sign before we read it. Even if it the contract is already prepared and all he had to do was just fill in the blanks.

5 days cooling period.

Discovered that I forgot to sign on one of the dotted lines though. Oh well.

i wanna kill the short pompous i-don't-know-what-i-want-but-i-know-only-if-you-ask bias bully. People warned me about the fucking bastard but I didn't really experience it until 2 weeks before the holiday.

my coward way out is to win the lottery. And since it is unlikely to happen, i'll just have to stick to my guns.
